You’re Child's Visit

While you might want to stay with your child during their exam or treatment, it has been proven through various studies that children over the age of 3 do much better when the parent allows them to go through the process on their own.

Our Littleton area Pediatric Dentistry highly recommends that parents allow our staff to accompany the child through their dental procedures. We understand that some parents will still want to stay with their child so we do offer that as an option. However, we do recommend that the parent follows these guidelines if they plan to stay with their child.

  • Allow our pediatric dentist staff to handle preparing your child for their appointments.
  • Avoid any discussion with your child about their upcoming appointments.
  • If you do discuss any details of your child’s appointment with your child, please refer to the terminology chart above or from our website.
  • If during your child’s treatment your kid’s dentist asks you to leave, please do so without any discussion.
